Police car rammed during car chase in Germantown, WI | By Germantown PD

April 17, 2022 – Germantown, WI – The following post documents a vehicle pursuit that occurred April 16, 2022 at 4:44 p.m. Germantown Police Communications received multiple reports of a possible impaired driver who was unconscious behind the wheel of a vehicle in the area of Maple Road. and Lannon Road.

Officers of the Germantown Police Department located the vehicle on Mequon Road at Squire Drive where it struck a traffic signal and a privately owned fence.
Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and it failed to yield.
The suspect vehicle struck another vehicle along with other privately owned property during the incident.
The suspect vehicle also drove eastbound in the westbound lane of traffic on Mequon Rd. where it nearly struck another vehicle.
With assistance from Wisconsin State Patrol, a Precision Immobilization Techniques (PIT Maneuver) was conducted which was successful.
After, the suspect vehicle rammed a Germantown Police Squad in an attempt to continue to flee. The suspect vehicle became disabled afterward in a ditch west of N Swan Rd. in Mequon, WI.
A male driver was taken into custody, charges will be referred to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.
Officers investigated multiple crash scenes as a result of this incident. If damage occurred to your property, please contact the Germantown Police Department at 262-253-7780 reference incident 22-6477. This investigation is open and no additional information is available at this point.
