State Rep. Tim Ramthun throws hat in ring for Wisconsin governor

Washington County, WI – Wisconsin State Assembly Representative (R) and Kewaskum School Board member Tim Ramthun has thrown his hat in the ring for Governor of The Badger State.

Ramthun, 64, of Campbellsport, WI, currently represents the 59th District and filed paperwork Thursday to run for governor.

He joins former Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch and former U.S. Senate candidate Kevin Nicholson in the GOP primary. The primary election will take place on August 9, 2022, and the winner will advance to take on Democratic Gov. Tony Evers.
