Germantown woman, 44, strikes squad, arrested for OWI with child in car

January 22, 2022 – Germantown, WI – A Germantown woman is facing OWI charges after authorities say she struck a police squad while allegedly driving under the influence with a child in the car.

Wisconsin State Patrol said Tiffany Fitzpatrick-Jones, 44, was arrested Wednesday, January 19, 2022 following the accident at 5:14 p.m. on Lannon Road east of Maple Road.

Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a Germantown Police Department vehicle and a second vehicle being operated by Fitzpatrick-Jones.

A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper observed signs of impairment from Fitzpatrick-Jones. Standardized field sobriety test were conducted. The Trooper determined the driver was under the influence of intoxicants and subsequently arrested her for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense, with child in the vehicle under the age of 16. An evidentiary blood draw was obtained, and the subject was turned over to the Washington County Jail.

The subject has been charged with OWI 1st (Minor under 16 years of age in the vehicle), Operating after suspension, and Bail Jumping.

“Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”
