December 29, 2021 – Washington Co., WI – Neighbors across Washington County looking to pay their 2021 property taxes before the end of the year may want to check the schedule of your local Village or City Hall as it could be closed Thursday, December 30.
Friday, December 31 is actually New Year’s Eve Day … but some offices are closed the day before.
In West Bend, City Hall is completely closed Thursday, December 30 – however the drop box outside the front door can be used to make a payment. A receipt will be provided at a later date. The Finance Department said it will check the drop box at the end of the day Thursday. It will also be checked on Monday, January 3, 2022 and a bit of grace will be considered if people want to claim the payment on their 2021 taxes.
In Hartford the City Hall will be open and payments can be made at the Finance Department window until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 30 but then it will close before the normal end of the business day.
In the Village of Germantown: Please note Village Hall will be closed Friday, December 31 and Monday, January 3 for New Years so plan accordingly. Payments not postmarked on or before the 31st of December will be entered as being received after the 1st of the year.

In the Village of Kewaskum: Village offices will be closed Friday, December 31, 2021 – Monday, January 3, 2022.
In the Village of Jackson the offices will be closed Thursday, December 30, 2021 and Friday, December 31, 2021 so neighbors better make payments today if they want to claim it on their taxes.
In the Village of Richfield: The calendar says Village Hall is closed New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2021 and closed for New Year’s Day Monday, January 3, 2022.
Village of Slinger appears to be open Thursday, December 30 and Friday, December 31.
