Obit: Daryll H. Sederholm, 74, Grafton

Mr. Daryll Sederholm, of 2nd Avenue in Grafton, passed away peacefully at his home Monday evening, July 18, 2016, following a short battle with cancer. He was 74 years old. Daryll was born in Burlington, IA on September 5, 1941, son of Henry and Amy Lindquist Sederholm. The family moved to northern Wisconsin while he was young, and Daryll grew up in High Bridge where he attended local schools. He graduated from Mellen High School with the Class of 1959.

On November 26, 1960 Daryll was united in marriage with Marlene Ellias in Ashland, WI. The couple moved to Milwaukee shortly after, and later settled in Grafton in 1968. Mr. Sederholm was employed as a Tool & Die maker at various shops in the Milwaukee area. He retired in 2009.

Daryll lived to work and he enjoyed his work very much. Mr. Sederholm was also very good at making and fixing things. He was a very kind person, a good soul and generous to all.

Daryll is survived by his wife of almost 56 years, Marlene, and their three children: Susan (Bill) Sederholm-Martin of Thiensville, Shanna Krueger of Carson City, NV, and Craig (Tricia) Sederholm of Rochester, IN. He is further survived by six grandchildren: Alexandria, Anastasia and Killian Martin, Sabrina, Sebastian and Madison Krueger, brother Rodney (Sydney “Bunny”) Sederholm of High Bridge, sisters Bonnie Sederholm of Milwaukee and Colleen (the late Herman) Tushaus of Minneapolis, MN, sister-in-law Kathy Sederholm of Scottsdale, AZ, brother-in-law Dennis Hedrick of Greenfield, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by grandson Kyle Martin, brother Dennis Sederholm and parents Amy and Henry Sederholm.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, July 23rd at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., in Cedarburg. Rev. Erwin Uecker will preside. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 1-4 PM at the Funeral Home. Daryll will be laid to rest in Mount Hope Cemetery in High Bridge at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the church or charity of the donor’s choice.
