“K-9 Cash will be retiring very soon and these donations allowed us to take the next step to prepare for Cash’s departure and the next K-9. We traveled to Jessiffany Canine Services LLC training facility in Neosho to select the next K-9 for new handler Officer Cole Parker.

“It is my pleasure to introduce our new K-9 Officer Lux. He is a 15-month-old Belgian Malinois.

“Beginning in January, Lux will be trained in detection and tracking. Lux will be trained to apprehend offenders if the need arises.

“We certainly could not have made this happen without the generosity and community
support. More updates to come regarding K-9 Officer Lux.”
