Washington County, WI – On October 20, 2021, at approximately 7:29 a.m. the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an injury crash on Hubertus Rd east of State Hwy. 175, in the Village of Richfield.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene along with Richfield Fire and Rescue. Upon arrival, First Responders began to treat the female operator of a motorcycle involved in the crash. The female suffered significant injuries and Flight for Life was requested to the scene.
The initial investigation indicates that a westbound SUV, operated by a 65-year-old Thiensville man failed to yield right of way to the eastbound motorcycle, operated by a 49-year-old West Bend woman. The SUV turned in front of the motorcycle causing a near head-on collision.
The Thiensville man was un-injured. The West Bend woman was transported to Froedtert Milwaukee by Flight for Life.
The female motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
