The Oshkosh Police Department is taking action to unite the community they serve and have issued this press release:
“The recent events of the last few days involving police and communities across the
United States should bring us closer together rather than farther apart.
The Oshkosh community has worked hard to bring law enforcement and citizens
together. It is in difficult times like this that the relationships that we have in our
community mean so much to each of us; both in and out of law enforcement.
In response to these events, the Oshkosh Police Department and members of our
community representing All who live here in Oshkosh are holding a unity walk today
beginning at noon from Opera House Square to Irving Ave. along the sidewalk on N.
Main St.
Please join us today. The Oshkosh Police Department and City of Oshkosh stand
together with all members of our community to make Oshkosh the community where
everyone feels welcome.”
