Margaret (Midge) A. Salmon aged 88 passed away on Tuesday June 28, 2016. Margaret was born in Milwaukee but spent the majority of her life in Rubicon, Neosho, Hartford and eventually moved to Sheboygan Falls to be closer to her family several years ago.

Margaret was born on September 7, 1927 to Fred and Angeline (Hetzel) Roethle. She attended local schools and was the only member of her family to graduate high school.

She was joined in marriage to John E. Salmon on November 30, 1947 at St. John Church Rubicon. Margaret and John had seven sons and two daughters together.

Margaret spent the majority of her life as an at home mother but started working as a housekeeper at Hartford Hospital where she subsequently retired after approximately 20 years of service.

Margaret’s family was very important to her and the greatest gifts she bestowed upon them were her faith, love, and ability to enjoy the smallest pleasures life had to offer. She started sharing the joy of simple things by taking her young children with her as she spent time with her parents and siblings on many Sundays eating meals and playing sheepshead. She also shared her ability to enjoy the moment by laughing at whatever pleased her. She had an infectious laugh that could make other people laugh just hearing it. Her laughter and joy will be greatly missed.

Margaret is the beloved mother and grandmother of William (Barbara Noon) (grandson: Eric), John (Susan Reynolds) (grandson: Kevin, great grandson: Andrew), Robert (Delia) (grandsons: Brandon, Derek), Joseph (Donna) (grandchildren: Mathew, Michael, Brianna), Thomas (granddaughter: Holly) Ann, Ronald (Tammy), and Margaret Kuehl (grandchildren: Jason, Maghan, Nicole). She is also the beloved sister to Delores Consentino, only surviving sibling, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, infant son and loving brothers/sister in laws: John (Grace), Ralph (Delores), Robert and sisters/brother in laws: Marcella Becker (Elmo), Marie, Sam Consentino, and son in law Peter Kuehl.

A time of visitation will be held at St. John Church in Rubicon WI on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 with mass at noon and burial immediately following.

The family would like to send a special thank you to neighbors Bill and Nancy Stolzman who spent the last moments of Margaret’s life with her as she passed away while walking the family dog.

Margaret had a strong faith in the Catholic Church and was dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Holy Rosary and is now in God’s loving arms.
