West Bend Special Olympics receives Ribble donation

July 30, 2021 – West Bend, WI – On Tuesday, July 27, 2021, Mike Hartwell of Shorewest Realty presented West Bend Special Olympics with a donation.

Hartwell said, “As we all know the 2020 Olympics are being held in 2021. More importantly, today I was able to make a donation to a bunch of West Bend Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes on behalf of Mike Ribble and Shawn Ribble from the sale of their home in May.

“When I met with Mike and Shawn and we talked about a donation, they were quick to name West Bend Special Olympics as the recipient. Their son AJ was an athlete with Special Olympics.”
Veteran Special Olympics Coach, Mary Jean Fiegel said, “What a wonderful heartfelt donation from Mike Hartwell and for the Ribbles to choose Special Olympics.”
Fiegel said, “The money will be used for the athlete’s competition fees for this tournament and also toward future tournaments. The coaches and program staff are all volunteers. So any donations go 100% to the fees for the athletes.”

“It is amazing how Mike has given to so many groups that benefit others, so genuine and thoughtful,” Fiegel said, “The athletes really enjoyed the meet and greet.”
