Bridge improvements ahead in Washington County

July 2, 2021 – Washington Co., WI -To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $937,800 contract to improve the WIS 167 bridge over the Oconomowoc River, and the WIS 175 bridge over the Wisconsin Central Railroad (WCRR) in Washington County. Work is scheduled to begin at the WIS 167 location the week of July 12, 2021.

The contractor for the project will implement the following:  

Improvements

  • Bridge deck overlay
  • Concrete overlay
  • Concrete surface repair
  • Concrete bridge approach repair
  • Pavement replacement
  • Erosion control and pavement markings

 

What to expect

  • July 12 through July 24, WIS 167 bridge over the Oconomowoc River will be closed for improvements. Traffic will be detoured along WIS 164, County Q and County K.
  • July 26 through August 21, WIS 175 over the WCRR will be closed for improvements. Detour will utilize WIS 60, I-41 and County K.

Construction is scheduled to be complete late summer 2021.
