KEWASKUM, Wis. (July 1, 2021) – Adam Gitter has been named the Village’s new Village Administrator.
He is coming to the Village of Kewaskum after having served as the Deputy Administrator and Economic Development Director for the City of Hickman, NE.
Gitter is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh where he earned a Master’s of Public Administration. Additionally, he has an Associate’s Degree from UW-Washington County and a Bachelor’s of Criminal Justice from UW-Oshkosh.
“The Village Board is excited to have Adam’s skill, expertise, and municipal experience filling this important role in the community.” said Village President Kevin Scheunemann. “We will be getting to work on important municipal issues right away, including economic development, concept planning for municipal projects, and evaluating Village Services for improvement.”
Gitter is a 2003 graduate of Kewaskum High School. He also previously worked with the City of West Bend, serving as their Economic Development Manager, and was the Town Administrator in the Town of Buchanan, WI. He is a veteran having served in the U.S. Army as Military Police with one tour supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
“Having the opportunity to serve my hometown of Kewaskum as the Village Administrator means a great deal to myself and my family,” said Gitter. “It has always given me great pride to call Kewaskum home and to have seen the strides taken by the Village President, Board and staff it is that much more exciting to be a part of this team.”
Gitter will be located within the Kewaskum Village Hall and his first day with the village in his new role will be July 19, 2021.
