On 06-20-16 at 3:45pm, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on Welsh Road under the Sth 26 bridge, in the Township of Emmet, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Preliminary investigation shows that a vehicle was traveling south on Welsh road entering a curve in the roadway. The vehicle slid in a clockwise direction, and then struck a bridge pillar. The driver (lone occupant) of the vehicle suffered life threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee.
Identification of the driver is being withheld pending notification of family members.
Assisting at the scene was: Watertown Police, Watertown Fire, Watertown Paramedics and Flight for Life helicopter.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
