The Division 2 college will be getting one West Bend East’s finest wrestlers, as Schlosser is ranked a three-and-a-half-star prospect according to Trackwrestling.com.
Schlosser was the North Shore wrestling champion in the 152-pound division (Division 1) in 2020 and finished fifth overall in the WIAA state in the 160-pound division this past season (2020-2021).
Schlosser finishes his career with the Suns holding a 121-40 record with 56 falls. In the 2020-21 season, Schlosser had a 13-2 record with 5 falls, 4 technical falls, and 1 major decision.
It will be a new era Schlosser is walking into for the Parkside wrestling program as head coach Corey VanGroll is stepping down from his job following after four seasons. VanGroll had tremendous success for the Rangers, including finishing third in the nation (Division 2) in 2018.
Despite the state of flux with the athletic environment at UW-Parkside, Schlosser is in good hands academically as this past season seven members of Parkside wrestling team made Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Winter All-Academic Team.
