Obit: Elaine E. Zuern, 86, Hartford

CaptureElaine E. Zuern, 86, of Hartford passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at The Kathy Hospice in the Town of Polk.

Elaine was born March 13, 1930 in Milwaukee to Charles and Emma (nee Suits) Constance.  She was united in marriage to Thomas Zuern on August 8, 1953 at Camp Roberts in California.

Elaine enjoyed flower gardening and traveling, she traveled to all 7 continents. She was a member of 1st United Methodist Church, homemakers groups, and the Oshkosh teacher’s collation.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Bozidar) Nikcevich of Wauwatosa, Jeff (Kathy) Zuern of Hartford, Gail (Luke) Geiser of Chilton, Paula (Rodney) Reed of Rubicon, Constance (Richard) Milner of West Bend, and David (Jenny) Zuern of Hartford; 22 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her sisters in law , Donna Gehring of Hartford and Peggy (Bob) Stinson of Seattle, WA.   Elaine is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom in 2009, and Brother Edwin (Ann) Constance.

Funeral services for Elaine will be held Friday, June 17, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 738 W. Monroe Ave., Hartford with Pastor Paul Johnsen officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church.

Interment at St. Kilian Cemetery

Memorials to the Greater Milwaukee Foundation c/o Tom & Elaine Zuern Family Fund (for underprivileged children and/or the Threshold) or a charity of one’s choice are appreciated.
