March 11, 2021 – Washington Co., WI – Flags across Washington County are standing at full attention today as winds are gusting at a sharp 23 miles an hour.

The National Weather Service had issued a wind advisory for neighboring Fond du Lac and Sheboygan County. The Sheboygan advisory is set to expire at 3 p.m.

Temps are hovering in the mid-40’s under sunny skies but the wind makes it feel cooler.

The wind doesn’t seem to be bothering the swans much as they kick up their heels in a pond on Pleasant Valley Road.

As the snow melts and temps warm neighbors are definitely seeing signs of spring.

The March Equinox is Saturday, March 20. There has been some confusion on the first day of spring, which is generally thought to be March 21. Do you know why it is March 20 this year?  Click HERE for a quick science primer and find out what time balancing an egg on end will work best.  (What grade in school do you remember doing that project?)

Also remember, Daylight saving time begins Sunday, March 14 at 2 a.m.
