Louis J. “Louie” Zerwinski Jr., age 79 of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, peacefully at Angel’s Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
Louie was born on July 19, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI, to Louis J. Sr. and Apolonie “Pearl” (nee Waligorski) Zerwinski. He was united in marriage to Marlene Twardowski on July 11, 1959 in Milwaukee.
He was a long time employee of both Milwaukee Electric Tool and Briggs and Stratton. After retiring he also enjoyed working as a truck driver for Weld Fab in Slinger. Louie was a member of the Hartlake Snowmobile Club and loved to snowmobile as well as riding his ATV, watching Packer games, but most of all he loved to go up north and spend time with family and friends and enjoy life.
Louie is survived by his wife Marlene, his children Gail (Bill) Carlson of Hartford and Rick (Lynn) Zerwinski of West Bend; beloved grandchildren Mitchel and Morgan Zerwinski. He is also survived by his sister Ruth Krueger. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.
A celebration of Louie’s life will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St. Hartford, WI 53027) from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
