January 14, 2021 – Washington Co., WI – An icy rain started hit the western edge of Washington County just after supper time Thursday evening; right on schedule according to the National Weather Service which issued a winter weather advisory until 6 a.m. Friday, January 15.
According to the National Weather Service:
A mix of light rain and snow will continue to change over to mostly snow away from Lake Michigan late this evening, while a rain and snow mix continues closer to the lake. The snow will fall occasionally at a moderate rate late this evening. Snowfall of 1 to 3 inches away from Lake Michigan is expected.
More of a rain and snow mix closer to the lake will keep snow totals less than an inch.
WHERE…Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, Washington and Dodge Counties.
WHEN…Until 6 AM CST Friday.
Plan on slippery road conditions. Moderate snowfall and low visibilities could impact the evening commute and cause hazardous driving conditions.
