December 11, 2020 – Washington Co., Wi – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Washington County and the surrounding area beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 11 through 6 p.m. Saturday, December 12.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING
TO 6 PM CST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Rain will continue to change over to snow
  this afternoon, becoming all snow tonight through Saturday.
  Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches with locally higher
  amounts possible. Northerly winds gusting as high as 35 mph may
  result in patchy areas of blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, south central and southeast
  Wisconsin.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM CST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the late evening and morning commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of east central
Wisconsin, south central Wisconsin and southeast Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for areas along a line
from Darlington to Madison to Sheboygan. 3 to 5 inches with
locally higher amounts of wet heavy snow is expected along with
possible minor blowing and drifting snow.

Strong onshore winds and high waves will bring a risk for
significant lakeshore flooding to the Lake Michigan shoreline
from later tonight into Saturday. A Lakeshore Flood Warning is in
effect.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Friday

Widespread snow and rain/snow mix will persist through
Saturday. The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through
Saturday afternoon. The strong onshore winds will be at their
peak on Saturday with the Lakeshore Flood Warning remaining in
effect through Saturday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed.
