New look for Citgo station, 1516 N. Main Street, in West Bend

October 5, 2020 – West Bend, WI – The Citgo station, 1516 N. Main Street, in West Bend is getting a new look.

Designs for the Citgo upgrade will go before the West Bend Plan Commission on Tuesday, October 6.

The site plan is for architectural building renovations located at 1516 N. Main Street.
Wisconsin Convenience Store Management is proposing to renovate the exterior of the
building. The site plan request is for building alterations only and no site alterations are
being proposed.

Zoning:• The 0.36 acre parcel is zoned B-3, Neighborhood Business District.

Architectural Building Elevations:The architectural building elevations identify the proposed building changes which include the following:
• The existing siding on the south and west walls remain and only minor repairs are proposed for the siding and trim on these building walls.
• The north and east walls will be updated by removing the existing siding and replace the siding with a Bailey’s Harbor Dusk fieldstone veneer. The windows and doors will be removed and replaced with new dark anodized bronze aluminum framed windows and doors.
• The roof over the entrance doors will be modified and a tan colored steel roof will be utilized over the entrance area. The main roof area will remain the existing 4.D.2 asphalt shingles.
• Staff finds the building architecture to be acceptable.

Signage:
• The architectural building elevations show the relocation of the existing Citgo building sign from over the door to the gable end on the east side of the building. Staff finds this relocation to be acceptable.
