Obit: Lila E. Anderson, 85, West Bend

Lila E. Anderson, nee Hetzel, 85, of West Bend, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Samaritan Health Center, West Bend.

She was born on September 18, 1930 in Fredonia to the late Walter and Erma (nee Moths) Hetzel.  She was united in marriage to Roy Anderson on June 3, 1950 at St. Paul’s Church in Waubeka.  Roy passed away on June 6, 2010.

Lila was employed as a receptionist and switch board operator at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, West Bend, for many years.

She is survived by three children, Maria (Pete) Krueger of Iron Ridge, Todd (Amy) Anderson of Florence, and Paul (Kelly) Anderson of West Bend; eight grandchildren, Angie (Cristina) Hardt, Christy Mueller-Anderson, Jack Anderson, Karmen Anderson, Casey Anderson, Michael Anderson, Justin Anderson, and Kristin Anderson; four great-grandchildren, Dalton, Edwyn, Penelope, and Michelle; a sister, Carol (Ernie) Marier of West Bend; two brothers, Walter Hetzel of California, and Melvin (Mary) Hetzel of California; a sister-in-law, Linnea (Fred) Melius; a brother-in-law, Birger Anderson; special friends, Howard (the late LaVerne) Wilke; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Lila was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Karmen; a sister, Sylvia (Carl) Hauch; a brother, Roman (Ruth) Hetzel; two sisters-in-law, Lula Anderson and LaMae Hetzel; and three brothers-in-law, Everett (Earlene) Anderson, Verner (Helen) Anderson, and Mauritz Anderson.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Waubeka with Rev. David Schoob of Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend, officiating.  Following the service at the cemetery there will be a luncheon at the Fillmore Turner Hall.
