57449ec6ea59cPatricia “Pat” Stollenwerk surrounded by family, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the age of 80.  Pat was born March 26, 1933 in Milwaukee, the only daughter of Walter & Vicki (nee Chlebowski) Gedymin.  She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 59 years, Gerald (Jerry), along with her children Keith (Angela), Scott (Laurie), Carrie (Jim), and Noel, brother Richard. Her oldest daughter Lynnette Scott (Patrick) preceded her in death and brother  Walt.  She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, along with numerous relatives, friends, and loved ones who were touched by her kind, thoughtful ways.

Pat was a breast cancer survivor who held numerous job descriptions over the years, but none were more important than that of devoted wife, mother and friend, all of which she excelled. She was also an avid animal lover, and had dozens of pets over the years, all of which she treated as lovingly as her children.

Pat married Gerald on August 4, 1956, and the couple lived in numerous cities across the country due to Gerald’s service in the US Army. They eventually moved back to Wisconsin, where they, along with their children, settled in Kewaskum. Pat was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where she served as president of the Christian Mothers Association, as well as coordinator of the CYM, where her interactions with youths formed life-long friendships with many. Her kindness and love was especially deep towards her children’s friends, many of whom considered her, and treated her, like a second mother.

Pat and Jerry retired to Hartford, where she continued her active role, this time at the couple’s condo association, where she served on committies, and wrote/edited the community newsletter. Her skills at writing were first published 45 years previously, when she was a reporter/staff member of the Midwest Corps News at the age of 17. Her signature “Just Pat” at the end of each piece of work submitted was typical of her modest nature, but those she touched during her full life know she was much more than just Pat. She was a gift shared by God, with whom she is reunited, along with her daughter, brother, parents, and many relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed.Family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 3:30-5:30 at the Berndt Ledesma Funeral Home 226 S.
