Minor Personal Injury Accident (see attached pic)
On Saturday, May 21 the Washington Coiunty Sheriffs’ Office investigated a minor injury accident on County Highway H near Apple Court in the Town of Kewaskum. Both vehicles were east bound on Cty H to the west of Apple Ct. just prior to the rear-end collision. One vehicle, operated by a 55-year-old Village of Kewaskum man, was slowing to make a signaled left-hand turn into a private driveway when the second vehicle rear-ended him. The driver of the second vehicle, a 45-year-old Adell woman, advised she was looking at something adjacent to the roadway and did not see the other vehicle begin to slow. There was also a 13-year-old female passenger in the second vehicle. All three individuals received minor injuries and declined transport by Kewaskum Rescue. Both vehicles sustained severe damage. The Adell woman was cited for Inattentive Driving.
Stolen Vehicle:
On Friday morning at 6:43 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s responded to a home in the 500 block of Weis St. in Allenton for a report of a motor vehicle theft. The victim, a 23-year-old Allenton man, reported his blue 2005 Chev Colbalt taken from his driveway after 8:45 p.m. on Thursday. The vehicle was later located in Winnebago County on its roof. The Sheriff’s continues to investigate the incident and it appears to be related to another stolen vehicle that was taken in Oshkosh and abandoned on I41 near Hwy 33 prior to the Allenton theft.
Threats at Jail:
On Friday, May 20 a local municipality arrested a female subject for domestic violence. The other person involved, a 31-year-old Hartford man, made it well known to the investigating police department that he was not going to bail her out of jail. Shortly after the female’s arrest, the Hartford man contacted the jail by phone and advised jail staff that if anyone came to bail her out of the jail he would kill them. He further stated he would come to the jail with a firearm to kill the person. As the jail staff person was speaking to the patrol supervisor about the incident, the Hartford man showed up at the jail lobby. Deputies immediately confronted the subject and confirmed he did not have any firearms on his person or in his vehicle. As a result of the telephone threats, the man was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and brought to jail.
