I am working on a total revamp of the City budget format. I have shown my format to the staff and some members of the Council and they felt what I presented was easier to work with and a little more transparent than the budget in the past.

I hope to have the new format ready to go by late June for the start of the budgeting process in July.
In the Administrator’s Report at next week’s council meeting,

I will present a first quarter financial statement that is short and clear which gives you a snapshot on how we are doing YTD for the 2016 general fund budget year. I have done this at past communities to give understanding on how we are doing and present any issues that might affect our end of year.

Pool Update: If you drive by the pool, you will notice that we are getting to the final stages. They are making deck pores every day when weather allows. The crews have been ramped up to get this project completed on schedule for the July 2 opening. The first fill of the pool is scheduled for two weeks.

Hwy 83 Construction Project Update: From City Engineer Jason Schall: Just a reminder that there is a project update meeting this Monday at First National Bank for those that want to see first-hand how the street is coming along. This project will also be one of the areas toured at this Tuesday’s Public Works meeting prior to the Common Council meeting. Please see your weekly calendar from Pat for more details
