Obituary | Virgil D. Fahrenkrug, 82, of Hartford

August 6, 2020 – Hartford, WI – Virgil D. Fahrenkrug, 82, of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at the Waterford of Hartford.

Virgil obituary

Virgil was born November 15, 1937 in West Allis, WI to Howard and Emma (nee Carufel) Fahrenkrug. He was united in marriage to Joyce A. Ledger on April 27, 1957.

He enjoyed watching sports, deer hunting, going for rides in the car, but most of all loved to spend time with family.

Virgil is survived by his loving children, Judy (Milford) Brewer, Dave (Joan) Fahrenkrug, Dean Fahrenkrug, Paul (Karen) Fahrenkrug, and Bob (Lisa) Fahrenkrug; cherished grandchildren, Michael (Jenny), Stacey (Chris), Nick (Ashley), Brad, Emily, Erica, Zachary, and Bret and cherished great-grandchildren, Dylan, Madison, Kaeden, and Layla. He is further survived by his brother, Dan (Norma) Fahrenkrug and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 60 years, Joyce and brothers and sister.

Mass of Christian Burial for Virgil will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 5:30 p.m at St. Kilian Catholic Church (264 W. State St., Hartford) with Fr. Britto Suresh officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church from 3:00 – 5:15 p.m.

Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford, WI.

 

 

 

 

 

The family would like the thank the staff at The Waterford at Hartford and to Fresenius Kidney Care in Slinger for their loving care of Virgil.
