May 21, 2020 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend Community Memorial Library (WBCML), 630 Poplar Street, is now open from 9am-5pm Monday through Friday. WBCML will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2020 in observance of Memorial Day.
While the COVID-19 situation is disrupting daily life, we can work together to limit the spread.Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns and recommendations by state and county health organizations to practice social distancing, all library programs and meeting room bookings are suspended at this time.
WBCML understands there are homes in our area that do not have internet access. Our top priority is to provide access for those who need to study or work remotely and for healthy citizens to have library access.
WBCML Staff will be wearing masks for your protection. It is strongly encouraged that citizens wear masks while in the library as well to help protect them.
Groups of youth will not be allowed to hang out at the library or be dropped off for pseudo daycare services during the school quarantine. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the library.
Please keep in mind that visiting WBCML or other public spaces is a decision that should be made based on the needs of you and your family. We are continually working with maintenance staff to clean surfaces regularly. All materials are put into a 72-hour quarantine upon return before check in as well. Materials will be checked in after the 72-hour quarantine is complete.
If a citizen is showing flu like symptoms, the citizen will be asked to leave WBCML.
Citizens who try to go around these rules and/or challenge decisions made by staff will be asked to leave the library and may have library privileges revoked.
As a public space, WBCML cannot guarantee a germ-free environment or germ-free physical materials.
