April 21, 2020 – Washington Co., WI – It was November 4, 2019 when the initial announcement was made that Tough Mudder Wisconsin was going to make its new home at Heritage Trails County Park in Washington County. Now, that’s not going to happen.
According to Washington County Public Affairs Coordinator Ethan Hollenberger the Tough Mudder assets have been sold to Spartan Race Inc.
“I’m sure it would have been cancelled anyway by the current COVID-19 circumstances,” said Hollenberger.
According to business reports Tough Mudder was “forced into bankruptcy and taken over by its main competitor, Spartan Race.”
The Tough Mudder is an untimed, teamwork-focused event with obstacles and mud.
