Obituary | Karl Becker, 87, of West Bend

April 20, 2020 – West Bend, WI – Karl R. Becker passed away unexpectedly at his home in West Bend earlier this month.

Karl was born July 26, 1932 the only child of Carl F. and Mable (Strack) Becker in the Town of Barton, Washington Co.

Karl attended St. John’s Lutheran grade school and was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend in 1946.  He attended West Bend Badger High School graduating in 1950.

Karl was in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the West Bend VFW and very active with the Color Guard.  Karl worked at the West Bend Brewing Co. and Weasler Engineering.

Karl enjoyed going up-north near Spooner, WI to his cottage and hunting for deer.  He also enjoyed getting together with his (1950) classmates for breakfast once a month.

Karl is survived by three first cousins; Audrey Fellenz, Diane Buchel and Judy Becker. Also survived by many second cousins.

Besides his parents those that predeceased him were four Strack Aunts; Irene (Ludwig) Stern, Selma (Henry) Merkle, Ozella (Charles) Krueger and Esther (Fred) Rutz. Also six Becker Aunts and Uncles; Selma (Anthony) Langankamp, Edgar (Elizabeth) Becker, Clara (Carl) Dins, William (Hilda) Becker, Walter (Hazel) Becker and Henry (Lavern) Becker.
A military funeral is being planned by the local VFW.
