April 10, 2020 – Town of Erin, WI – It was 2019 when hundreds turned out at Holy Hill in the Town of Erin for Good Friday, to walk the Stations of the Cross with Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome Listecki.
Christians across the world are commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary.
Thirteenth Station: Jesus Dies on the Cross
Reader: It was now about noon and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon because of an eclipse of the sun. Then the veil of the temple was torn down the middle. Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit”; and when he had said this he breathed his last.
(Luke 23: 44-46)
Thank you Judy for these beautiful pictures and memories. Walking the stations at Holy Hill is a tradition for my husband and me, but I don’t think we will be doing it this year, certainly not in a group.
