April–October 2020 citywide brush collection in West Bend | By Jessica Wildes

March 26, 2020 – West Bend, WI –  Beginning the week of April 6–9, and continuing through the end of October 2020, Public Works crews in West Bend will collect brush two weeks of each month.

Each residential property is limited to one brush pile no larger than 4’ x 4’ x 4’ and should be placed on the terrace by 6 a.m. on the resident’s scheduled day of garbage collection. Any brush placed curbside after the crews have already collected will not be picked up until the next scheduled brush collection week.

Please refer to the 2020 Refuse & Recycling Collection Calendar for future collection dates. The 2020 Refuse & Recycling Collection Calendar was mailed to each resident in December of 2019 and may also be found on the City of West Bend website.

Additional Curbside Organics Service

Due to the social distancing requirements and temporary closure of the City’s drop-off yard, curbside organic collection will be offered during the months of April and May.  Residents may place all leaves, lawn rakings, and grass clippings in a reusable type container or recyclable paper bag on the terrace on the same day as your brush is scheduled for collection. Containers should be at least three feet away from the garbage/recycling container. Please do not place organics in any plastic bags or in the street.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, permit stickers are not currently available for purchase. When the temporary COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, residents will have the option to use the City’s drop-off yard located at 251 Municipal Dr.
