Hartford, WI – The Hartford Historical Society presents the 5th annual Cemetery Tour on Saturday, Sept. 16.
Navy veteran Norman Zunker lived and died on West Sumner Street in Hartford but his life was touched by John Philip Sousa and his death was witnessed by thousands.
Zunker built experimental airplanes and was a first-class flute player.
This story of music, service, ingenuity and dare devil all wrapped up in one man will be told as part of the Hartford Historical Society at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Highway 60 West from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. and “meet” some of Hartford’s historically interesting people.
