36 children involved in bus rollover in Ozaukee Co. – West Bend woman cited

September 16, 2024 – Ozaukee County, Wi – The Ozaukee County Sheriff has issued a statement following a school bus rollover Monday morning, September 16, 2024, in Fredonia. According to Sheriff Christy Knowles 36 students were on the bus, none suffered life-threatening injuries, and a 32-year-old West Bend woman was cited failure to yield from a stop sign. Fifteen agencies from neighboring communities including Kewaskum, West Bend, Jackson and Washington County responded.  Details are below.

Just now (9/16) the Waubeka Fire Department requested MABAS BOX 2-13 (life safety) to the 2ND ALARM level for bus roll over on Jay Rd and County Highway E in the Town of Fredonia.

Ozaukee Co., Wi – Emergency crews from Washington County are responding to reports of a school bus rollover with injuries in neighboring Ozaukee County.

Early reports indicate the bus was struck by another vehicle and rolled. The crash occurred in Fredonia at Jay Road and CTH E.
