12 Scouts from West Bend, WI to attend National Scout Jamboree | By Alexis Naumann

West Bend, WI – A dozen scouts, both Boys and Girls, are attending the National Scout Jamboree this July at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virgina. However, before they get to West Virgina the scouts will get to tour Washington D.C.

These 12 scouts will start their journey July 14 and arrive home July 28.

During their time in D.C., they will get to tour the Capital, lay a wreath at the Tomb of The
Unknown Solider, visit the National Mall, and so much more.

After the five days in Washington D.C., they will head down to West Virgina. At the Summit Bechtel Reserve there are many fun and exciting activities including whitewater rafting, fishing, swimming, shooting a variety of guns and bows, seeing a lot of special shows, patch trading, ziplining, rock climbing, and visiting the largest skate park in the Nation.

These scouts will get to meet other scouts from all across the country.

They will sure have a lot of fun with their two-week adventure. They will get to make many friends and come home with a lot of souvenirs and memories.

If you would like to help these 12 scouts, they will be holding a Fish Fry at the West Bend Moose Lodge, 1721 Chestnut St., on Friday, June 30. Doors open at 4 p.m. to the public.

At the Fish Fry there will be basket raffles and live music.
