West Bend, WI – On November 24, 2023, at 1:58 p.m. officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Seventh Avenue after a 46-year-old man flagged down a passing motorist to report his girlfriend had been kidnapped by 12 Marines.
Officers located the man; found he was intoxicated and had fired a gun from his residence to scare off the “kidnappers.”
Officers recovered the firearm and verified there had not been a kidnapping by 12 Marines.
The man was medically cleared and placed in jail for operating a firearm while intoxicated and endangering safety.
