West Bend, WI – The 10th annual Santa Ramp Up bicycling event is expected to be quite chilly today as the bike ride to local establishments begins at 10 a.m. The annual get together has become a holiday tradition for many; it combines a dash of Christmas spirit with a passion for bicycling and giving to those in need.
More than 100 Santa lookalikes, joined with a family of elves on the shelf, and a few random bicyclists showing off their St. Nick finest took off Sunday morning in seasonably chilly temperatures.
Bikes, Bars, Beer, Santa’s! Join fellow Santa’s for the 10th Annual West Bend Santa Ramp-Up. The ride starts at Gary’s Place (10am) with stops at V.F.W Post 1393 (11am), BlondiePop (12:30pm), The Norbert (2pm) and 1840 Brewing Company – West Bend (3pm).
Santa or Christmas attire recommended. Safe biking practices. Come kick off the holiday season at one or all of the stops.
Bicyclists looking to burn rubber and some money in their pocket started from Gary’s Place and after a pint, pedaled it off to the next stop, the local VFW Post on Sand Drive, where more merriment took place.
