April 11, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – On Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 1:09 p.m., The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a 911 call from the home owner at N5691 County Highway G in the Town of Forest, Fond du Lac County Wisconsin reporting a fire in the stove.
Fond du Lac County Sheriff deputies along with St Cloud Fire and Mt Calvary Fire/Ambulance were dispatched to the residence. Prior to emergency personnel arriving on scene the home owner and their pets were able to evacuate the residence without injury.
Through investigation it was determined that the caused of fire is believed to have started in the oven, after the homeowner started a cleaning cycle on their oven. The fire was contained to the kitchen however the rest of the home sustained smoke damage.
The fire is not considered suspicious and no injuries were reported. Also assisting on scene was Greenbush Fire, Cascade Fire, Eden Fire, Glenbeulah Fire, St Anne Fire, Town of Fond du Lac Fire, City of Fond du Lac Fire, Campbellsport Fire, Elkhart Lake Fire and RIT 3.
