September 20, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – On Friday, September 20, 2024 at 10:47 a.m., the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a call of an overturned minivan in a ditch on River Road in the Township of Byron.
The caller indicated that two people were trapped inside of the vehicle.
Deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office along with Oakfield Fire/EMS and the City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue units responded. Upon arrival, deputies were able to free and extricate one of the trapped passengers.
The driver, a 45-year-old Fond du Lac woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash investigation is ongoing at this time and the identities of the involved are being withheld pending completion of the investigation.
