August 13, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – On Monday, August 12, 2024 at 10:20 p.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a 911 call about a female who fell off the back of a golf cart at N3630 State Highway 67, Township of Osceola, Fond du Lac County.
The initial caller stated the female was not conscious and possibly not breathing.
Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office along with Campbellsport Ambulance and Fire Department were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Prior to Deputies arriving on the scene the Communications Center advised they were providing the caller CPR instructions.
Deputies arrived on scene and assisted Campbellsport Ambulance in getting the patient into the ambulance to be transported to a nearby landing zone.
The patient was flown by ThedaStar Helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with serious injuries.
Initial investigation showed the patient, a 24-year-old female from New Jersey, was riding on a rear facing seat of a golf cart being operated by a 24-year-old male from Ohio.
Witness at the scene stated she saw the patient on the rear of the golf cart when the patient attempted to reach for another person running alongside the golf cart.
The patient fell off the rear of the golf cart and landed on the asphalt driveway.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident. The incident is still being investigated by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Campbellsport Ambulance and Fire Department, City of Fond du Lac Ambulance, and ThedaStar Helicopter.
