June 15, 2024 – Ozaukee Co., WI – On Friday, 06-14-24 at approximately 5:07 pm, the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office received a request for a welfare check on a suicidal subject.
The subject, a 54-year-old male from the Town of Grafton, had left his residence in a 2017 black Dodge Ram pickup truck travelling in an unknown direction.
The vehicle was located by an officer from the Grafton Police Department and a traffic stop was conducted on Green Bay Rd. north of Lakefield Rd. in the Town of Grafton. The subject displayed a handgun and fired one round through the passenger side window in a westerly direction into an open field. A Patrol Sergeant from the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office negotiated with the subject from a distance for approximately 10 minutes.
