1 man in custody following large drug bust in FDL | By Sgt. Henning

October 1, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 6:23 p.m., a Sheriff’s Office K9 handler was patrolling Interstate 41 and observed a registration violation on a vehicle that was traveling northbound on the interstate near Lost Arrow Road.

 

The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by a 34 year old male from Chicago. During the duration of the traffic stop the K-9 handler deployed his police K-9 for an open air sniff of the vehicle. The police K-9 alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was then searched and deputies located approximately 3.1 pounds (1,408 grams) of methamphetamine.

The male was taken into custody, and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail where he is being held on a charge of possession with intent to manufacturer/deliver amphetamine (>50 grams).

The defendant has not made an initial court appearance, and no further information can be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
