August 6, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., WI – On Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 7:08 a.m., the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a call of an overturned semi on Interstate 41 at the Hwy 151 off-ramp. Â It was further reported that the semi was leaking diesel fuel.
Deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and Troopers with the Wisconsin State Patrol responded and found a southbound semi attempted to exit interstate 41 at Hwy 151 and lost control on the wet pavement.
The semi jack-knifed and overturned in the eastbound ditch of interstate 41. Â
During the overturn, a 150-gallon fuel tank was ruptured and spilled into the ditch. Â The crash is still currently under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
