Jan. 28, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – Gas prices continue to fall in Washington County. On Friday afternoon prices in Jackson and Slinger dropped to $2.25 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
Stations in Hartford are unchanged at $2.27. West Bend is at $2.29 and $2.35, while Allenton is $2.34 and $2.35.
Kewaskum is at $2.35.
Meanwhile in the southern part of the county, our Germantown neighbors are paying $2.17 and $2.19.
West Bend has had higher than average gas prices for years.
State law requires a dealer to to get a mark -up of 9.8% over wholesale, sell below that and your
in serious trouble. It is closely watched. So it depends on who their supplier is,and they sometimes
have to buy X number of gallons in their contract before they can switch. There is so much crap and
federal and state regulations in the business, that’s why they are mini-marts,so they can make it.
That’s were the money is.
